Dua Saleh Announces Debut Album 'I SHOULD CALL THEM' - Clash

By Clash on 10 July 2024

Sudanese-American artist Dua Saleh today announces the release of their long-gestating debut album, ‘I SHOULD CALL THEM’, out this October 11th via Ghostly International.

Following the previous single ‘unruly’ featuring serpentwithfeet, Saleh teases the album experience with new cut ‘want’ – an anthemic, punk-infused ode to toxic situationships. Of the inspiration behind ‘want’, Saleh says: “‘want’ is a song about toxic on-again, off-again situationships. It’s an anthem for those relationships that might not happen at the right time but feel so right that you go against your intuition. It’s about discovering self-worth, but still wanting to lean into that cheeky naughtiness.”
